Transportation to Istanbul University Faculty of Science

From Istanbul Airport (IST)
1) Metro line: You need to take the M11 metro line towards Gayrettepe and get off at
Kağıthane station. From Kağıthane station, transfer to the M7 metro line toward
Mecidiyeköy. You need to get off at the Mecidiyeköy metro stop. From Mecidiyeköy
you need to transfer to the M2 metro line towards Yenikapı then you need to get off
at the Vezneciler metro station. The total journey time from Istanbul Airport to
Istanbul University using the metro is approximately 1 hour, depending on the waiting
time for transfers.
2) Havaİst Airport Shuttle: Buy a ticket for the Havaist shuttle bus to Beyazıt. You can
buy your ticket at the Havaist shuttle bus ticket booth located near the shuttle bus
stop. Board the Havaist shuttle bus to Beyazıt.From the Beyazıt stop, it’s only a few
minutes to walk to the university. You can check the current schedule and fare

From Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW)
1) Havabus is the official airport shuttle company from SAW to city center. The timeline
of the Havabus shuttle can be found in the link and transfer fee is 67,50 ₺. You can
pay the fee with cash or credit card on the spot. When you arrive at Taksim, you may
take a taxi or you may also use the M2 metro line and get off at Vezneciler station to
reach university.
2) M4 Sabiha Gökçen – Kadıköy metro line is another choice to reach city center.
When you arrive Ayrılık Çeşmesi station, you can transfer to Marmaray easily. After
using Marmaray, you can get off at Yenikapı station and transfer to the M2 metro line.
After 1 stop, you can get off at Vezneciler station.
3) Taxi is the most expensive way to arrive at Istanbul University Faculty of Science.
Price can be changed around 395-475 ₺ for 50 minutes travel.

From Esenler Coach Station (Otogar)
1) If you arrive in Istanbul by coach, you can get off at Esenler coach station. You can
take an M1 metro and get off at Yenikapı station to transfer Vezneciler via using M2
metro line.

Via Metro Line:
To get to Istanbul University Science Faculty (also known as Fen Fakültesi in Turkish) from
Vezneciler metro station, you need to get off the metro at Vezneciler station on the M2
Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line.Follow the signs to exit the station and head towards the
direction of Istanbul University. Once you exit the station, turn right and walk towards the
direction of Beyazıt.After a few minutes of walking, you will see the main entrance of Istanbul
University on your left.Enter the university through the main gate and walk straight ahead.
Continue walking straight ahead until you reach the Science Faculty (Fen Fakültesi) on your
left.The walking distance from Vezneciler metro station to the Science Faculty of Istanbul
University is approximately 140 meters and it takes around 2-3 minutes to reach on foot.

Via Tram Line:
To reach the Science Faculty (also known as Fen Fakültesi in Turkish) of Istanbul University
via tram line you need to get off at Laleli tram station, you need to get off the tram at Laleli
station on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar tram line. Follow the signs to exit the station and head
towards the direction of Istanbul University. Once you exit the station, turn right and walk
towards the direction of Vezneciler. Walk straight ahead until you reach a major intersection
with traffic lights. Cross the street at the traffic lights and continue walking straight ahead on
Millet Avenue. After a few minutes of walking, you will see the main entrance of Istanbul
University on your left. Enter the university through the main gate and walk straight ahead.
Continue walking straight ahead until you reach the Science Faculty (Fen Fakültesi) on your
left. The walking distance from Laleli tram station to the Science Faculty of Istanbul
University is approximately 400 meters and it takes around 4-5 minutes to reach on foot.

İstanbulKart
In order to utilize public transportation options such as buses, metro, metrobus, and others in
Istanbul, you are required to obtain an Istanbul card. These cards can be purchased from
IETT counters or authorized private vendors.If you would like to purchase your own
