Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Symposium, Çanakkale, Turkey 2024

       The 10th Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Symposium (EEBST), which is held annually as an activity of the EkoEvo association, will be held in Çanakkale, after EEBST 2023 was held last year at İstanbul University, İstanbul. EEBST 2024 will take place between 23-25 July at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Troia Cultural Center, Çanakkale/TURKEY.

EEBST 2024 will be hosted and organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal ÖZKILINÇ and her lab team (Ozkilinc Lab) from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.

EEBST is a dynamic meeting point for esteemed researchers and enthusiastic students working in the field of ecology and evolutionary biology. Keynote speakers who are prominent in their fields are also hosted at the symposium. We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming EEBST meeting in Çanakkale, a city with stunning views of the Dardanelles strait and a landscape that blends the past with the present.

Çanakkale Local and Intercity Travel
Following are the transportation options for arriving to Çanakkale
Arriving to Çanakkale from different cities:
There are airline and highway transportation from Ankara to Çanakkale each day.
There is highway transportation by bus from Istabul to Çanakkale hourly. If you would like to arrive by plane, there are flights with transfer from Istanbul to Ankara to Çanakkale.
Çanakkale Local Transportation
Çanakkale local transportation is mainly formed of public busses. The bus line that directly goes to Troia Cultural Center from the city center is: Ç1
If your accomodation is on the Troia street, you may use the Ç3 line to arrive at the campus gates and transfer to Ç1 from that stop to arrive to Troia Cultural Center.
If your accomodation is near the airport, or you would like to directly come to the Troia Cultural Center from the airport, you may use the Ç8 line to arrive to the campus gate, and transfer to Ç1 to arrive to Troia Cultural Center.
Additionally, Ç1 and Ç8 lines go through Atatürk Street, which is one of the main two streets in Çanakkale, while the Ç3 goes through Troia Street, which is the other main street.
You can pay the bus prices from any contactless bank/credit card. There are also multiple taxi stops in the city.
The airport is within the city and on Ç8 line. You may directly go to the city center by taking this bus from the airport.
The bus station is further away from the city. You can go on the Ç9 line from the bus station to the city center, and use the Ç1 line to arrive to the Troia Cultural Center. You may use the Ç9 line to go to the bus station from the city center.
