CLARIFICATION TEXT ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
This Clarification Text has been prepared to inform the stakeholders of eebst.ekoevo.org within the scope of EEBST 2025 regarding the processing of their personal data by eebst.ekoevo.org, pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law”).
a) Methods and Legal Grounds for Obtaining Personal Data
Your personal data is collected through electronic or physical means. The personal data collected based on the legal grounds specified in this Clarification Text may be processed and shared in accordance with the personal data processing conditions set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.
b) Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may be processed by eebst.ekoevo.org in accordance with the personal data processing conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, for the purposes of planning and executing activities necessary for the continuation of the products and services provided by eebst.ekoevo.org; carrying out necessary operations by business units to benefit relevant persons from the products and services; conducting commercial activities carried out by eebst.ekoevo.org; planning and executing commercial and/or business strategies; and ensuring legal, technical, and commercial/operational security of eebst.ekoevo.org and the relevant persons with whom it has a business relationship.
c) Parties to Whom Personal Data May Be Transferred and Purposes of Transfer
Your personal data may be shared, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes set forth in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, with business partners and suppliers of eebst.ekoevo.org, legally authorized public institutions and organizations, and legally authorized private legal persons, for the purposes of planning and executing activities necessary for the continuation of the products and services provided by eebst.ekoevo.org; carrying out necessary operations by business units to benefit relevant persons from the products and services; conducting commercial activities; planning and executing commercial and/or business strategies; and ensuring legal, technical, and commercial/operational security.
d) Rights of Data Subjects and Exercise of These Rights
If you, as personal data subjects, submit your requests regarding your rights to eebst.ekoevo.org as specified under the section titled “Exercise of Rights by Data Subjects,” your requests will be evaluated and finalized by eebst.ekoevo.org as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 (thirty) days.
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, you have the following rights:

To learn whether your personal data is being processed,

To request information if your personal data has been processed,

To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,

To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,

To request the correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed and to request that the relevant third parties be informed of this correction,

To request the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing no longer exist, even though it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the Law and other relevant laws, and to request notification of the transaction made within this scope to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

To object to a result against you that arises solely from the analysis of processed data through automated systems,

To request compensation for damages if you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
According to paragraph 2 of Article 28 of the Law, the following cases are excluded from the rights of data subjects:

If personal data processing is necessary for the prevention of crime or for a criminal investigation,

If personal data has been made public by the data subject,

If processing of personal data is necessary for the execution of supervision or regulation duties and disciplinary investigations or prosecutions by authorized and competent public institutions and professional organizations with public institution status, based on the authority granted by law,

If processing of personal data is necessary for the protection of the State’s economic and financial interests in relation to budgetary, tax, and financial matters.
According to paragraph 1 of Article 28 of the Law, personal data will be outside the scope of the Law in the following cases, and data subjects’ requests will not be processed for such data:

If personal data is processed by natural persons within the scope of activities related to themselves or their family members living in the same household, provided that it is not disclosed to third parties and that data security obligations are complied with,

If personal data is processed for the purposes of research, planning, and statistics by making it anonymous with official statistics,

If personal data is processed for artistic, historical, literary, or scientific purposes, or within the scope of freedom of expression, provided that it does not violate national defense, national security, public security, public order, economic security, privacy of private life, or personal rights, or does not constitute a crime,
-
If personal data is processed by public institutions and organizations authorized by law for the purpose of ensuring national defense, national security, public security, public order, or economic security, within the scope of preventive, protective, and intelligence activities,

If personal data is processed by judicial authorities or enforcement authorities regarding investigation, prosecution, trial, or execution procedures.
Requests regarding the exercise of the aforementioned rights can be submitted to eebst.ekoevo.org via the email address provided on our contact page. eebst.ekoevo.org will evaluate your requests and finalize them within 30 days.
