His recent research projects have primarily investigated the phylogeography of alpine plant species in South-West Asia. He has identified numerous vegetation types and described several plant species new to science.
He is scheduled to present the findings of his recent research at an upcoming congress, focusing on plant biodiversity, hotspots, conservation gaps, and biogeography of alpine habitats in South-West Asia, especially the Irano-Anatolian region.
